I think I inherited a strength/weakness from Papoo - I tend not to be fazed by potential awkward social situations (I actually kinda enjoy them).
So I don’t know why I was nervous today when I ordered a small strawberry shake with no milk from Dairy Queen. The person who took my order, incidentally, was the manager. And when he looked at me quizzically I got nervous.
I think he could read my mind: that I know how the DQ system works; that a small shake is the same size as a medium Blizzard; a shake without milk is, in essence, a Blizzard; and shakes cost much less than Blizzards. Equation = I got an upgraded Blizzard for the price of a shake. (Yes, now you know the secret too)
I think I was nervous because my conscience tells me that tactic is bordering on deceit … at least I didn’t order a Snickers shake without the milk!
